I am running WXP on an Acer 1355LC, have installed AVG Antivirus, Sygate
Firewall and Spybot S&D. No fancy appplications, since this is a
note/workbook. However, everytime I go online and open a URL (throug IE), my
Firewall signals that a MFC called DALCTRL.EXE is trying to access the net.
Denying access to this application does not interfere with internet
functionality, however the d....d thing keeps popping up. Removing it from
the Windows System Directory does not work, since it immediately reinstalls
itself. No intivirus / antispyware programs denounce it, on the net there is
hardly any info on this file, but it is a genuine pest. However, I am
reluctant to start messing around with my registry before I am really sure
about what I am going to eliminate. Any solutions / suggestions? Please mail
