hi guys! how are you all? did we all have a good new year?! i hope so! well
anyway... i think i have a virus on my computer, however my anto virus
software doesn't recognise it and nor does microsoft antispyware. I keep
getting very professional pop ups telling me i hae a virus prompting me to
download anti virus software. Also my homepage is continually redierected to
www.systemwarning.com. I also get promts in my taskbar which i do not believe
are genuine. what should i do?!?!

You've got a bug, probably because of the newest unpatched vulnerability in
Windows.

Call Microsoft PSS. In the US or Canada, call 1-866-pcsafety. Elsewhere,
call your local Microsoft Subsidiary, and ask for the free help with virus
or security issues.

Currently updated antivirus should protect against and remove this critter.

One substitute for that is to restart in safe mode with networking, and do a
full scan at:

http://safety.live.com

(This is microsoft's antivirus app, with the latest definitions available)

Ok install smitrem. then install, ewido, then get adaware personal edition
set em all up and restart in safe mode. Run Smitrem first, then ewido, then
adaware, you won't see that pesky critter again.
I had the same thing on my sons comp, and it is related to SpyAxe a program
that takes over your comp and infects everything it can, then they want you
to buy it to remove it lol, just a maulware scam.
Just search for smitrem and there are several sites to download from, the
other links are on previous posts I believe.
This works and removes things you didn't even know you had before.
Hope you get to read this;

If you do the safety.live.com thing, best advice is to do it in safe mode
with networking. Not sure what they symptoms are if you do it in normal
mode and it doesn't succeed.
