If you mean a anti-spyware program, just take a look at:
www.pricelessware.org
or
www.pricelesswarehome.org
There are some listed in the security-section.

Before you just try out an anti-spyware program, please look first at:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
as your Google-search probably found a lot of trash.

I would say that SpyBot Search&Destroy would be core to your
defenses, assisted by a2 or ewido. Blaster is a memory
resident application that is on constant guard, while the
other two are scanners which you may use periodically.

All three programs have regular updates which you should
download.

Spybot-S&D: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
a2: http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
ewido: http://www.ewido.net/en/

Hope this helps, and let us know how it works for you..

matter

Ad-Aware
Spybot Search and Destroy
Spyware Blaster

That's exactly what I have loaded on my system. I also use WinPatrol to
"guard" my startup configuration (not anti-spyware, so a bit OT).

I run Spybot Search & Destroy, along with SpywareBlaster (they kinda work
together)
I also run the free version of AdAware
These 3 have taken good care of any spyware issues I've encountered.
Good luck to you
