Hi

It´s a rouge antispyware.

http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Spyware Stormer spywarestormer.com aggressive advertising (1, 2, 3,
4); drive-by-downloading (1); false positives work as goad to purchase
(1); variant of NoSpyX, SpyVest, SpywareCleaner, Spyware Wizard, &
Spyware Slayer (1); Ad-aware knockoff [A: 6-26-04 / U: 7-20-04]

Okay then is it a risk? I just downloaded and installed Norton AntiVirus
2006 which this year has added some spyware protection. It has listed it
after scan. The tech representative says I have a virus and that is why I
cannot access some of their web pages such as chat support. I have just run
another full scan and nothing has turned up again. Also ran Defender and
Spybot with no spyware showing up from scans. I am not experienced computer
user. Thanks for any help understanding this!

Yes. Read the article you listed (thanks) but the program "Spyware Stormer"
does not show in Add/Remove list. I have Spyware Blaster which I downloaded,
but that is not the same is it?

Hi

Spyware Blaster is well known and a highly recommended program
so keep it !

Did you notice the manual removal instruction within Symantecs
page ? You can check all steps manually.

It can also be a great idea to run Ewido.
