Spyware Slows down Application Loading

I'm using a P4 3.0Ghz system with 1M Ram and with MS
Spyware loaded will cause applications like MS Access to
take 3-4 seconds to load. Turning off Spyware Access
applications load in little over 1 second. Has anyone
else noticed this?
 
I've noticed it with Word, and with closing the IE Properties dialog box.
I've decided that a few seconds delay is a small price to pay if I'm getting
meaningful "real time" protection.
 
I have noticed what you describe as wekk as Internet
connections slowing down severely, and some pages not
opening at all
 
Yeah, I notice it too, remember to empty your temp folder, and try not to
run scans while trying to work in other programs.
