Spyware removal problem

Two days ago when clicking on the Google link in my
favorites list, a page popped up "Can't access
google.com? Your PC is infected with spyware." The same
thing happened when I tried to get to Yahoo. I scanned
with the Microsoft anti-spyware twice, in addition to
spyware blaster and spybot. I'm still getting blocked
from google and yahoo. I (obviously) know very little
about computers, so I would greatly appreciate any
advice. Thanks.

Boot into Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows screen
during boot/reboot). You might have to press F8 again to
go to the advanced options. Select the option that only
states Safe Mode with nothing else.

Run a full system with MSAS and Spybot. I'd chose to run
Spybot first and delete the infections it finds and then
run MSAS to remove what Spybot misses, and it WILL miss
things.

Thanks for the quick response, Alan. I tried exactly what
you said and I'm still being blocked...that annoying page
is still there. I remember once having to empty my entire
system and reload everything all over again. The problem
is I can't remember which F key to press. I don't know
what to do. I'm hoping I won't have to buy one of those
spyware removal packages from Staples.
