Chris

I would be grateful if anyone could try and help me with
this problem:

I have an XP Computer - recently, I've been expericing
signs of Spyware on my Computer. Although I have Norton
Antivirus (Although the Suscription has expired) and
Registry Mechanic installed for extra security measures -
as well as having the Firewall and Atuomatic Updates
Security Centure parts on at all times - I thought it
would be safer to install Antispyware (Beta) to make sure
my Computer is definatly safe.

Once installing it, it scanned my entire computer, and in
spite of it taking forever to do, it found the problems
and havd them sorted. But the next day when I tried to
run Spyware to check, it just froze up and wouldn't do
anything.

All I really would like to know, in a simple, clear
explination, how can I sort out the problem with Spyware,
and HOW do I know for sure that my Computer is safe???

If your subscription for Norton Antivirus has expired then
you are no longer receiving antivirus updates; leaving you
unprotected from hundreds of new viruses every week.

That's the first step you should take to securing your PC.

If you cannot afford to purchase a new subscription to
Norton, you could uninstall it and try an antivirus product
that's free for home users, such as Avast Home, available
to download from http://www.avast.com
