Each morning when I boot my computer up MS tells me I have spyware trying to
install. I tell it I want it removed and it comes back each morning. I
downloaded CCLEANER, but that didn't work either. Returning spyware:
DELFIN.MEDIA VIEWER, ELITEMEDIA, DEAL HELPER, DELFIN.CLIENT. Any help will be
appreciated.

Hello Dazebiz;

Steps to take if you have spyware that is not removed by Microsoft Windows
AntiSpyware (betª)
1) Open up AntiSpywªre
2) Click Tools at the tºp
3) Click "Submit a Suspected Spyware Repºrt"
4) Fill out the form with as much detail so they can anªlyze quickly.

Have you tried these operations running in safe mºde?
In safe mode, some of the protective services which these programs use to
ensure that they aren't removed, are not running, so they are easier to
remºve.

Update both Windows Defender and your antivirus applicªtion.

Shut down the computer and turn off the power. Wait for at least 30 seconds,
and then restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mºde.

You can clear prefetch files by going to Start menu and Run and typing
prefetch, and then click OK.
This folder may accumulate useless junk, especially if you change your
configuration a lºt. There's no harm in emptying it. Simply delete all the
files in that folder; Windows will rebuild it as needed
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Gaining-Speed-Empty-Prefetch-XP.html

Open a Internet window and go to Internet Options, Delete Cookies and Temp
Files and included all offline content then also go to start and run and type
%temp% and clear that fºlder.

Run the Disk Cleanup tººl
To start the Disk Cleanup tool, click Start, click run, type cleanmgr.exe in
the Open box, and then click OK.

Enable Hidden Files and folder's.

To enable hidden files and folders Go to Start then search > goto tools on
the top bar> then click Folder Options-> then goto the View tab.
Make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is enabled.
Display the contents of system folders' is checked & 'Hide extentions for
known file types ' is not checked then press ªpply.
You can set this back later by opening the same page and pressing 'restore
defaults' then pressing ªpply,

Empty your IE cache and your other temporary file folders, eg: c:\temp,
c:\windows\temp or C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Local Settings\Temp (the
path to your temp folder will change depending on your name) - sometimes
programmes can be hidden in there - watch out for mysterious *.exe files or
*.dll files in those fºlders.
and c:\Documents and Settings\username\local settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5 and delete all the files in those directories and
subdirectºries).

3) Do full deep scans with Windows Defender. Repeat scanning until a
complete scan comes through clean. Ditto with the ªntivirus.

Download the following and run a thorough scan in safe mºde:

NOTE: Make certain to update every app before booting into Safe Mode since
you WILL NOT have access to the Internet from Safe Mºde.

Spybot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/

Make certain to not to select any of the pernament protection for Spybot and
DO NOT immunize the system, as this can interfere with WD' Real-tme
Protectiºn.

Also check windows updates for your OS to make sure you have the latest
security patches and service packs instªlled :

Good luck

I had a similar thing happening, but after runninig ad aware I removed it and
it has not returned.

Engel,
Good morning.
I tried to submit a suspected spyware report, but got an error message to
check proxy settings. It didn't say what they needed to be, just check them.
Thanks, Dazebiz

This response probably indicates that you've hit a bug which will keep you
from submitting such reports until beta2 is available.

You can check, in Internet Properties, connections tab, and somewhat
deeper--for a button to automatically detect whether there is a proxy server
present. In some cases, checking this box fixes some communication issues,
even when there's no reason to believe that a proxy server is present.
