Spyware in Internet Explorer??

In the last few weeks I have noticed that there are some items that have been
added to my "favorites" in Internet Explorer. They are: cool stuff, travel,
shopping gifts, internet, computers, online gaming. I have tried to right
click and delete them, but I get a bar that says "close toolbar" only. I
have ran Norton Antivirus, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, to no avail. I have went to
Internet properties, and organize favorites, neither will let me delete them.
I have my popup blocker set on HIGH, but I still receive popups from these
items. How do I get these off of my Internet Explorer favorites bar?
Also, I have stumbled on a "Registry Repair Pro", trying to find something
to fix this.
I downloaded a trial offer of this, and ran a scan. It said I had about 600
registries that needed to be repaired/deleted. Does anyone know of a program
that is the same that I can download for free? Thanks in advance for any
help.

Hello ProNailz,

Give a try to this by the numbers:

1.- Ccleaner - Free
http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp
Ccleaner - http://www.ccleaner.com
Note, When you install Ccleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar option.
Note, In Options, Settings, Advanced, uncheck - Only delete files in Windows
folders older than 48 hours.

Open Ccleaner and press "Windows" "Aplications" and "Run Cleaner" from the
menu choose 'Issues' and then press scan for issues, Repair any fºund.
Run twice Ccleaner, the same as above.

2.- Scan your computer now online and clean it for free!

Look for the broom Clean up, also Tune Up..

3.- Scan your computer now online and clean it for free!
You can run Ewido in safe mode with networking .

4.-This is a AndyManchesta (e-mail address removed)
or Ron Kinner (e-mail address removed) case beacuse I cannot find any good advice
within any forum without using HijackThis and to be carefully guided.
Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe
http://computercops.biz/HijackThis.html

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select Scan and Save Log.
Note where you saved the log then send it to him as an attachment. Put
Hijack in the subject so he'll know it's not spªm.

Alternatively you can post it on the Dell Forum ªt:

http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board?board.id=si_hijack

Put Ron in the subject so he will see it. You do not need to have a Dell to
post but you will need to register.

A sure sign of adware/spyware is when they can't be blocked by pop-up
blockers. A toolbar might be giving you grief. MSN, Yahoo, AOL and Google
are ok. I am not saying all toolbars are bad, but some allow the download of
third party software. You can go to Tools (click it) under Internet Explorer
and then click Manage Add-ons and disable what you don't trust and see if
your problem goes away. Ccleaner is more than adequate as a moderate level
registry cleanup tool. I have always been burnt by the aggressive registry
cleaners so I don't use them.

Also, you might try navigating via Windows Explorer to your Favorites folder
and try to delete the entries.

Engel and Mr. Cat,
Thank you so much for replying. I'm going to try all of your suggestions.
I have already tried going to Windows Explorer to delete the links.
They aren't shown as being on the favorites. I'll do them and
hopefully one of them will work. Thank you so much!!!
