Spyware hasn't worked

I have just installed MS Spyware having had Ad-aware 6.0
for months. It found 7 threats and deleted them all.
However my home page still keeps being changed to
about:blank and pop ups still keep popping up. Help?!

Restart in safe mode, press F8 just before Windows flag screen appears.

Scan with both MSAS and Adaware, choose "Full scans" within both.
