Spyware has taken over

I have installed the antispyware software. The software
removes the problems, but if I use IE all the spyware
comes back.

Stop visiting sites that promote and propagate spyware on their webpages -
like the ones with cracks, serials, illegal software, music, videos, and
porn.

Oh, and tighten up that browser!

What service pack are you on for your OS, and what version of IE?

Have you applied all service packs and upgraded to the most recent versions?

There is more than one possible cause for your symptoms.

One is that you may have spyware which is resistant to being cleaned by
Microsoft Antispyware.

Here are a couple of ideas: 1) make sure your definitions are the most
current--4680, as I write this--see Help, About.

2) Try scanning and removing in Safe Mode. This makes it easier to remove
certain resistant bugs.

If scanning in safe mode doesn't fully remove things, please file report:

Tools, suspected spyware report.

This will help Microsoft make the tool better for all users.

If you use Windows XP don't forget to disable the restore
facility before a scan as for anti-viruses.

Otherwise all spywares will remain in the restore
partition.

Have you turned on your Real Time Protection. Turn them
all on.

This is a GOOD TIP, I think
Thanks for the reminder!

Perhaps this point should be made more clear to all
Antispyware users. Especially seeing that it is a
Microsoft product, and that this System Restore issue is
known.

Actually that's extremely bad advice. Disabling SR is the *worst* possible
advice.

What are you going to do if the clean up goes splat?
