Spyware does not work very well yet

I tried this program to get rid of some spyware. My IE
continues to get hijacked. Then I ran a competitive
product...it found 10 things this program did not. (but
also still did not solve my IE Home Page hijack problem).

If anyone at Microsoft or elsewhere is familiar with
something that hijacks my about:home reference url and
sends it to a search engine (esearch?, but not esearch.cc),
that would be great.

Meantime, the microsoft tool prompts me to stop the
hijacker from changing the home page URL, I indicate to
block it...it indicates it has blocked it, a yet the
hijacker changes the home page url anyhow.

I would think that MS should be able to best handle spyware
that affects IE...but this does not seem to be the case.
I'll look forward to future releases that work...because
this is a critical need on the Internet. I have lost 4
hours of productivity just trying to get rid of this one
piece of spyware....and am still trying.

If you are working and really needs a working browser
download Firefox.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

The when you have time to deal with this pest.

- Send a spywarereport to MS menu tools.

- Restart your PC in safe mode an do a deepscan, maybe twice.

You can also follow this, takes some time.

The Parasite Fight http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm

Its impossible to "test" these pests beacuse this is a ongoing
battle with new variants between advertisment Hijacks mostly
against IE and
antispyware solutions.

And its also a beta program, which means you continue use alternatives along
with MSAS.
