Well yeah, but whom among us is brave enough to try it? If anyone is
feeling adventurous, give us a thumbs up or down... TIA for sticking your
neck out. Personally, I'm sticking with 4.5 for now, after experiencing
their last upgrade to 5.0.

I'm not going to try it either because of my bad experience with version 5.0,
but they are also offering this new version with Antivirus. Current
subscribers can add the AV to their subscription for only $10. They don't
give many details about the AV part - at least not as much as I would want to
know - but it is Sohpos.

Installed and running.

The new interface is now enabled for their antivirus module.

There are now update options, which to my way of thinking, are labeled
backwards. They are:
1. Check daily if connected via broadband
2. Check hourly if you use dialup. This is to better help you get the
downloads.

I guess my thinking is reversed here. (-:

I installed it and have had no problems with it yet.

Installed SpySweeper 5.2.3 and no problemo's! Quick scan takes about a minute
longer, but other wise about the same.

What a great site this is! Keep it up.
E-Boy.......

Terrific... Thanks for the info, as I have a subscription to SS that
doesn't expire until 2008. I'll have to give the 5.2.3 a run on this
system to see how it goes. I really appreciate the feedback from everyone.

Remember to save the previous version(s) just in case (I still have
4.5.10.731, 5.0.7.1608 and the new version).

I'm with you there Jim, at least one of our posters in here learned that
lesson the hard way, but as I remember it was early on in the rush to
backlevel and SS support was still pretty responsive, so it only took about
a work week to get the 4.5 installation files resent to her.
