Can you be more specific? In fact, can you put together a sentence
that makes sense?

I suspect this person is writing in their second language, in which case
they are clearer than *I* could be...

If I understand the question correctly, the answer is:

if you are using Windows, then you want to start with the Task Manager.
it tells you what programs and applications are running, although not
necessarily what they are doing. It also allows you to stop most of
them.

If you are looking for more detailed information on specific programs,
or on spyware, please give us more detail about what you need to find
out.

bonne chance

As you're writing with Outlook Expres (a fairly old version BTW, you
might consider patching your system)I assume you're searching for
Windows tools.
The first'd be the taskmanager (on xp/2k <strg><shift><esc>). If you'd
like to have a more in-depth look at the processes take Process Explorer
by Systeminternals

I like your answer. It's direct, answers the question and does not have
a liberal undercurrent like other answers.

I could take offence by being called not liberal (hint: User-Agent).
Anyway, thanks for your appreciation ;)
