Does anyone know what has happened to SpyBot. All of a sudden it just quit
detecting anything.

I use it on more than one machine and have not changed the usage patterns
at all. I was getting the same things week after week. Now, nothing.

Hadn't noticed. I run both it and AdAware. But since I put SpywareBlaster
on here, I rarely get any spyware cookies. Perhaps you should uninstall and
reinstall a fresh copy.

Did you finally run the immunize program? Ever since I installed Zone
Alarm Pro I rarely get any spyware. I usually run Ad-Aware 1st & then
Spybot S&D, but Ad-aware rarely finds anything unless they update their
files, or I turn Z.A. off for some reason, then the crap enters. I'll
try running spybot 1st to see tonight.

I've been wondering why SpyBot hardly ever finds anything.
Even if I run it first, before AdAware, it rarely finds anything.

Thanks to Heather, I have the whole wazoolie of anti-verminware and Zone
Alarm. ;-)) My routine is to run SpyBot first and then Adaware. There have
been times that Adaware has found up to 3-4 critters that SpyBot did not
detect. But, I stick to a set routine only to be sure I don't forget to run
all the programs....;-)) However, since I got SpywareBlaster the findings
with either of them are very few anymore.

Yes, it is very much worth looking at, especially since there is a free
version that is every bit as good as the one you pay for. It is a firewall
for your computer that prevents spyware/malware and other such vermin that
may get onto your system while on the Internet from reporting back to a site
on the web. Sort of like......while you're surfing....they're fishing. :-)
It's very good, and very effective. You can find all the information and the
downloads for this program at the two sites listed below. Do yourself, and
your computer a favor and install it. There are several others that are
good, but, Zone Alarm is not a resource hog, performs silently and watches
your back. Besides all that....It does a computer good. ;-))

Look for the Free version.

Other programs you may want to check out at at this last site if you don't
already have them:

CWShredder
McAfee Avert Stinger
SpywareBlaster

Thanks for the info... I will be sure to look into it.... I always research
before doing anything. At first glance it seems very nice. Thanks for the
information.

You're very welcome. Good, it is best never to download or install anything
until you know for sure what it is, if you really need it, and if it will
provide any real benefit for 'you.' Just like people, not all computer
systems are alike. <g>

Thank you, my dear.......for the kind words. But you have been an
incredibly fast learner......so the credit goes to you. (G). Besides, you
and my daughter are so much alike with your 'graphic arts'.....I am a total
ditz in that area.

Best.....Heather

Lol! A student should always pay close attention in class, or expect to get
their knuckles rapped. <grin> With at least two sources for your graphic
needs, you should have no worry about any of that. <G>
