Does anybody know why Spybot isn't providing updates anymore? My last
successful update was early March.

Thanks,

Get v1.3:
Remove Immunization, close Tea Timer (if you are using a beta v1.3 version),
uninstall, reboot, completly remove
all Spybot S&D folders, install v1.3 version below then set up all options
including check for beta versions and using advanced mode checked for
updates at the US site.

They are updating from 1.2 to 1.3, so no updates on the old version
until 1.3 is released. 1.3 final is out for download if you want to
download it.

Man, that's a good deal of work and time. Is there some upgrading problem
that's been identified, or is this just the safest way to do it?

It is the safest way. There have been upgrading problems identified.

Thanks. One more question: Is it necessary to upgrade? Will future
definition updates not work with 1.2?

Future definition upgrades are not available for 1.2.
