Dave M;
Thank you for the reply. I have Teatimer enabled when I boot my computer and
do use Microsoft's AntiSpyware Build .615 to scan my computer. I do not have
it checked to run when I boot my computer, nor did I have it running while
doing a scan, using Spybot Search and Destroy. I would like to know if
Desktop.Explorer is a threat and if so, where did it come from? I haven't
found any adware using Microsoft's AntiSpyware since I installed it when it
first came out, though have been informed about various hosts that may or may
not be a problem. I won't uninstall either software program as they are both
very helpful. I disabled MS AntiSpyware in MSCONFIG when I installed the
software so it does not run when I boot. I do not use them at the same time.
Real Time Protection was not activated or running while doing a scan using
Spybot. I know Tea Timer does run at all times, if checked to do so (and is
checked to run at all times), and is excellent software. Both....are.

I can't tell from your post if you're running Ms AntiSpyware, if so do you
have
Real Time Protection activated? Spybot's Tea Timer function and MSAS RTP can
cause potential conflicts when used together. To test disable one or the
other
in MSCONFIG and re-boot.

I usually have no problems with this software but downloaded today's updates
and a Desktop.Explorer problem? appeared. Spybot did not remove this and am
wondering what this... is. My desktop icons appeared after rebooting and did
another scan and still get this Desktop.Explorer issue.
I went to the Sybot support forum and will not mess with my registry so can
only hope this problem can be fixed by Spybot, as soon as possible.
