Spybot S&D 1.2 Hanging During Update

I can't get to the updates in order to download the file that prevents
hanging (Catch-22!). Tried to get the beta version but the Forum pages are
down. Is there anywhere I can manually download the updates I need, or the
beta? --Thanks!

Download the updates from the Australian mirror EON.

I'm having a similar problem where I get a "checksum" error on two of
the downloads - does anyone know why?

I found this (BTW the forum is up again):

"Everytime there is an update issued, the same problem arises. You must
understand that this a free application and that it has A LOT of users. If
everyone updates at the same time, the servers are bound to be swamped! Be
patient and try again later. You will get your updates eventually.

There is also a direct link to the updated includes you can try. The file is
always the one with latest updated includes.

Thanks all--I d/loaded the spybotsd includes.exe and got it updated.
Hopefully this freezing issue will be resolved soon.

I think the popularity of SpyBot took the author by surprise. He wasn't
prepared for big server hits.

Well, so far, I've tried repeatedly from every one of the mirrors
listed, including the EON one, and still the same result every time,
even though the updates were released nearly a day ago. Rather
frustrating.

I'm still having the problem today. It hangs every time I try to install
any updates.

In addition, if you try to uninstall it, it leaves a file behind called
SDHelper.dll that I cannot delete (the file is marked "access denied").
