Hi,

Myself and the kids use our W2K PC with separate logins for each user. I
notice that Spybot only seems to search the logged in users area. Is there
anyway that I can get it to search all user area?

Cheers.
Roger,

I've noticed this. I think the answer is to log in as administrator, install
it and then run it from an account with admin privileges.
My Isp is now cleaning out newsgroups after 48 hours. If anyone has a
better answer or more info I may not see the thread. please email me.

Michael,
I do that but other than logging in as the kids I can't see how to do it?
Cheers.
Roger.

How about teaching them to do it themselves, so when they get out into
the big wide world they won't be completely clueless about how to keep
their PCs from getting infected and annoying the heck out of the rest of
us (you being a prime target, since you'll presumably be at the top of
their address books).

A fair answer and I am prepared to do that.
But is there an answer to my question?

I don't know of any way. You can of course log on as them and use the
'immunise' feature, which will solve some large %age of the problem at
source, but afaik Spybot S&D won't scan 'other users' files .. indeed
the OS security features may not even allow it to.
