Hello Group,
I have a quick question on Spybot operational process. I just downloaded on
the MS site and ran it three times, rebooting after each time. However, each
time I ran it I got the same 16 files. I check all of them and hit "Fix" and
I get a message saying fixed 14, 2 couldn't be fixed bacuse they maybe in
use. I hit the "X" button and reboot but the same 16 files appear again as a
result of the new search. Can anyone advice what's wrong?

Thanks

Microsoft does not make Spybot Search & Destroy. Are you referring to
the Microsoft AntiSpyware tool (still in beta)? If so, you can try two
things:

1. Do your scan again in Safe Mode. Also try scanning with more than one
antispyware tool such as Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Both
those programs are free and you can get them in the antispyware section
at www.majorgeeks.com.

2. Report any problems or ask questions about the Microsoft AntiSpyware
tool as follows:

At this time, support for the beta version of Microsoft Windows
AntiSpyware is being provided through the following Microsoft
