SPYBOT AND IE 6

I USED SPYBOT ON MY WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL DESKTOP AND
NOW IE6 CANNOT ACCESS ANY WEBSITES. NETSCAPE IS WORKING
FINE AND SO IS THE REALONE BROWSER WHICH I BELIEVE IS AT
LEAST PARTLY INTERNET EXPLORER.

HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi, I have the EXACT same problem, used SpyBot... IE6 isn't
working and Netscape works (but who likes Netscape?!)
Please help!!

Ya same here can't use IE and i'm using Mozilla Firebird to
view the web,we lost some file while using Spybot,this
never happened before so i have no idea what to do.

Help from anyone would be nice,thanks!

Same here, but outlook express works fine. anyone with some
answers.

For the 3 of you:

try this to repair IE, click

Start > Run

then enter exactly (case/space-sensitive) copy/paste it in.

rundll32.exe setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance

this will give you the IE Repair dialog... proceed to repair IE and see if
this
helps.

Did this, restarted system no change.

Also tried uninstalling ie6 then re-installed it. Did this
yesterday, still no luck.

So is the answer un-install spybot. Or can there be a way
for both of these to work together.

I tried this but it doesn't work - get error
message "error loading setupwbv.dll The specified module
could not be found."

I ran Spy Sweeper (but not for the first time), found
spyware, deleted it, and have been unable to use IE since
then - get message "unable to open search page" - no
matter what I have in address bar -

Also the "default" homepage has been changed
to "res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm"

I have anti virus/spy software, but wonder if this isn't
some new bug not yet caught by microsoft and/or McAfee,
etc.

Any ideas on a fix?
