Thank you in advance for any help and/or suggestions you may offer.
I installed via download "SpyFerret" (from onlinepcfix.com); spyware,
ardware, etc remover. I paid the money to remove the items and ever since,
I cannot launch Internet Explorer. I went through two levels of tech
support at my cable company, restored almost all files (1500+) that were
removed by the Ferret and all I get is page cannot be displayed. A tech
support associate told me to go to Documents, My Documents, then delete name
in the address line and type in www.msn.com - SUCCESS!! - but I cannot click
on any links and I have to open My Documents for each page I want to visit
if there is a link I want to use. I have also tried multiple tasks such as
deleting cookies, Norton "Un-do" Fix, restoring to default, ipconfig, etc...
nothing works. One thing that does work is MSN Messenger - upon login it
successfully launches every time.
PLEASE if you have any new ideas for me to try so I can access Internet
Explorer without having to go through the back door, I would greatly
appreciate it. Oh, I'm sure it would be good for you to know, I do not have
an XP disc to re-install.
I do have Windows XP Professional.
Thanks again,
Holly
