Spring Gentians

These little blue flowers are Spring Gentians, sometimes known as Teesdale Gentians.

They are actually arctic or alpine flowers and are found in other parts of Europe at altitude. They are only found in the British Isles in Upper Teesdale and Western Ireland. Teesdale has many other rare plants only found there.
