To all those who say;aww your just whining; SPP is ok and I agree with MSFT.

Check this out; a partial post from Vista admin& acccounts.

"I can just run
with "reduced functionality" which just runs Firefox and allows me to
visit
sites. I can't access any files on my harddrive.

See!
"Reduced functionality "shuts down access-I see HUGE lawsuits-as soon as it
inadvertently "reduces functionality" on a corporate customer.

Jeff--

I know from MSFT blogs including the Vista Team Blog that the ** Vista EULA
now is under discussion and may be updated soon and will be clarified more.
It's raised a lot of questions here and in almost any other kind of forum on
Vista and in the ezines of course and excellent blogs like Ed Bott's two.

I have ayk (and I'm not the lone Ranger in this) been a big opponent of
the Kill Switching's reduced functionality mode, aka SPP and many of us have
let them know and my main concern has been of course that like the many WGA
reports of problems with legit copies of Windows, that SPP is going to do
similar things.

I also think piracy protection can be done without mandating that software
be on a Vista or Longhorn and I would expect soon Office 2007 and other
software to follow suit that imposes reduced functionality mode or shuts
down the system, particularly when it is probably not going to be accurate.
