The new beta has removed my sporder.dll, which now stops
AOL, parts of Mcafee and some more. Where do I find it
and where does it go?

Hi Theao,

I have the similar issue. The New Beta has removed my
sporder.dll. and now I am not able to connect to Internet.

did you find any thing. Can you please get back if you
find anything.

Thanks

Hi Theao and Balli - Sporder.dll is a legitimate Microsoft written DLL that
is described as a 'WinSock2 reorder service provider' by Microsoft. It's
used by a variety of programs, including MSN Explorer, for example. You can
try doing a Restore to before the MSSA install or you can try the
following - you may need to download these on a different computer and burn
them to a CD to take to the affected machine. LSP fix is the one that most
likely will repair this if possible:

Before you try to remove spyware using any spyware removal program, download
both a copy of LSPFIX here:

http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

AND a copy of Winsockfix for W95, W98, and ME
http://www.tacktech.com/pub/winsockfix/WinsockFix.zip
Directions here: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=257

or here for Win2k/XP http://files.webattack.com/localdl834/WinsockxpFix.exe
Info here: http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
Directions here: http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm

The process of removing certain malware may kill your internet connection.
If this should occur, these programs, LSPFIX and WINSOCKFIX, will enable you
to regain your connection.

NOTE: It is reported that in XP SP2, the Run command netsh winsock reset
will fix this problem without the need for these programs. (You can also
try this if you're on XP SP1. There has also been one, as yet unconfirmed,
report that this also works there.) Also, one MS technician suggested the
following sequence:

netsh int reset all
ipconfig /flushdns

See also: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/winsock.htm for additional XPSP2
info/approaches using the netsh command.

.
have dell4700-xphome sp2-ran MAS rebooted and it removed
sporder.dll and mskdetect.exe and got a message that
grisoft AVG free fails to initialize because AVG kernel
interface fails to initialize.although the avg is still a
program.

I removed all traces of MAS and restored to day earlier
and got back the sporder and mskdetect but the AVG still
fils to initialize. Went to add/remove and highlight AVG
and clicked on remove and got message'Installer
Inialization failed. Don't know how to remove AVG except
going into registry.

Seems this beta spysweeper gives false positives.
