Hi

Sorry if this has been covered before but I am new to this NG. I'm running
windows XP.

Task manager shows SPOOLVSE.EXE as a running process.

I have deleted all references to spoolvse from my registry. When I restart
the computer the files re-appear.

How can I stop this?

Regards - Chris

It sounds like you have a hidden process that keeps bringing it back. You
can look at and inside running processes with Process Explore along with
the other tools in the link. Maybe, they will help you pin point it.

Thanks Duane

Useful stuff but I was hoping for someone with experience of this particular
problem and how they solved it manually.

Cheers

Just for info

I used a program called hijack this which allowed me to delete this and
other rubbish from my computer.

Thanks

Chris
