spoolsv runs 100% CPU

Hi all,

one of our clients has a XP home running at his house and the spoolsv.exe is
consuming 95-100% CPU. We uninstalled all printers which didn't help.
Searches on Technet, KB etc. didn't bring any results either.

Has anybody come accross this before? Any hint would be appreciated.

Did you uninstall all the printer software that came with the device?. What
printer model anyway?

Some additional info may lead to a better response from this group.

Yes, I did uninstall all printer software. There was an older CANON
installed. I don't really know what other information would be usefull. As
far as we can see there is nothing that would use the spoolsv left.
