I have a laptop that is more often not attched to the printer, but it seems
like the spoolsv.exe process is always running regardless. I would like to
manually toggle this process on and off, so I made a shortcut to turn it on.
But . . .
Can I make a shortcut somehow to turn it off so that I don't have to open
the task manager? (Not that opening the task manager is any big deal, I
just thought it would be cool to be able to have a one-click shortcut on the
desktop.)
And another question,
Is it normal for Mr. Spoolsv.exe to be accessing the internet everytime I
print something? I have a HP Deskjet, and I *thought* I had turned off the
auto-updating processes, so I don't know if it's an XP thing for Spoolsv to
be going online, or if it's because the HP Driver is still trying to update
