Have a popup window appear every time I start up my
computer.

Spoolsv.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The Procedure entry point GetPrinterA could not be located
in the dynamic link library SPOOLSS.dll

This only started appearing after I installed SP4

Any ideas

I have the same thing come up. Microsoft said check the
registry editor \Hkey_local_Machine\system\controlSet0011
\control\print\printers. This was of no help did you find
anything esle out?

Not sure if this applies in your situation, but I have
discovered with Lexmark printers if print drivers for
Lexmarks were installed locally it would cause a similar
problem. What I did was to uninstall the Lexmark
software, delete the Lexmark folder, and then clean up
the registry of any pointers to Lexmark network
printers. My proglem occur when I tried to install W2K
printers from the print server I would receive Entry
point not found, but usually this would point at
winspool.drv. Hope this helps.

The registry key HKLM\system\CurrentControlSet\control\print\printers
includes a lot of information about printers, printer drivers and other
third party printer software installed. I am guessing that what Microsoft
was attempting to do was determine which third party printer software you
have installed and which one is incorrectly assuming that GetPrinterA is
exported by Spoolss.dll.

Having said that, it appears to be Spoolsv.exe that is making that
assumption, and this is is a core Windows component. There may be a mismatch
between the versions of Spoolsv.exe and Spoolss.dll. Perhaps third party
software overwrote a Windows component, though I don't know how Windows File
Protection would allow that.
