when i click on the windows task manager i see that the
process "SPOOLSV.EXE" (System prosesss)is causing the CPU
to be used at 100%. This happens even when i have no
other processes (user) running on my computer. I don't
know why is this happenning all of a sudden. Is it
because i got a virus or something else. Even if i try to
end that process it appears after some time again.
I am using Windows XP Professional on my computer. I
would appreciate if i can get some help regarding this
matter as soon as possible. Any other help would be
highly appreciated too.
Thanks.

Spoolsv.exe is the spooling program the PC uses for printing to the
printer... I duno what to say except try a virus scan and try re-installing
your printer drivers, check your printer's connected etc...

I'm having this problem too. It occurs even though the user claimed
to not have printed anything. The environment is a XP Pro computer
printing to a shared HP laser jet on another XP Pro computer... When
this problem occurs it appears to saturate the network with traffic...
Help!!
