spooler problems

seems like i am not the only one with this problem. my
printer worked fine for a year, now i keep getting this
message that my spooler isn't working. i have no idea and
am serching franticaly for some answer. i have
uninstalled, reinstalled my printer, then under control
panel, there is no printer listed. when i try to do what
microsoft websight says, it always comes up unable to do,
spooler problems???
i don't even know what or where this spooler thing is.

when i try to start it i get a message that says could
not start print spooler service on local computer error
1068. the dependency service or group failed to load.
