Subject: Spooler Error message
Date: Fri, 23 Apr 2004 09:22:30 -0700
Hello,
I am running Windows 2000 Pro. I keep getting a "spooler
error message. I have download all of the latest windows
service packs and still receiving the same error message.
I have attempted to copy the spooler from another machine
and still get the same error message.
Please Advise,
Jason R.

What kind of printer are you using? Are you using the drivers that were
provided by the printer manufacturer? If so, try using "in-box" Windows
2000 drivers...
....if that doesn't work....
The problem may be with a port monitor that was installed with the printer.
Check in the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors
Export the key, then delete any sub-keys that are not the following
default monitors:
BJ Language Monitor
Local Port
PJL Language Monitor
Standard TCP/IP Port
USB Monitor
Let me know if any of this helps
