I recetly reinstalled win98se on the comp and since then
intermittently it would rpint but most of the time it would come up
with spool problems i would reinstall the printer drivers from the
cdrom again and again and maybe 1 in 10 I would print successfully, I
sam on win98se and didn't have this printing probs with the printer
originally the printer is a fuji xerox 1150j a japanese model anyone
know how to fix this spool problem?

Do you know where the print spooler is pointing to (what drive or
folder)? Is there adequate contiguous space on there for the spooled
file? Try defraging your hard drive to make sure you have adequate
clean space.

If you have your scratch disk (photoshop or other programs) or your
virtual memory on the same logical drive (hard drive or partition) this
can lead to space conflicts. It is a good idea to keep your spool
directory on a different logical drive than the scratch disk or virtual
reside if possible.

There are other possible problems, such as files that are not getting
cleared off after printing. Also, if you have a lot of spooling errors
check to make sure partial or failed files aren't cluttering up the
spool directly, as they can use up a lot of space.

Lastly, make sure you are using the newest drivers available for that OS
and printer. Sometimes bugs are repaired or new conflicts are found
with other peripherals.
