I have a windows 2000 machine that is connected to a
newtwork. It also has an HP Deskjet 1220c printer attached
to it via the USB port. The printerb is shared on the
newtwork. In some instances a person will send a document
to the printer and a "Spool Directory Selection" dialogue
box pops up and it there is "insufficient diskspace in the
current directory to spool the print file" and is asking
me to select a another directory. I've tried to select a
different directory and it does help. In other cases the
printer will just go "offline" and I will have to reboot
and then the documents will print. If anyone has any
thoughts I would appreciate them.

You can move the spool directory by setting this registry key to a different
path:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\DefaultSpoolDirectory
