spontaneous restart

Since downloading I've had spontaneous restarting when I
try to shutdown caused by a device driver error. I've
tried system restore to no effect and no other
hardware/software has been added except this
antispyware. The only alternative seems to remove the
antispyware, unless you can help?

I'd remove it.

Do that, and verify that the behavior changes--i.e. it stops the spontaneous
restart.

Then, if you feel like living dangerously (there are significant risks to
any such spontaneous restart!)--you could reinstall.

It is quite possible that the behavior won't come back with a different
install--that it is related to something about the current installation.

The other possibility is that this is somehow related to spyware present on
your system--are you clear that your system is clean? Are you seeing any
ad/spyware symptoms? Have you been able to run full, deep scans with
Microsoft Antispyware?

Try This,

1. Open Control Panel

2. Click on System Icon to open

3. This will open System Properties

Find the Advanced Tab and click on it

4. With the Advanced tab open, you will see a section
titled Statup and Recovery, Click on the Settings Button.

5. With Startup and Recovery open look under System
failure to see if Automatic restart is checked. If it is,
uncheck it and click the ok button. Then restart your
computer.

Hope this helps you.
