Spontaneous Hotfix Download and Reboot

Yesterday our Windows 2000 Server spontaneously downloaded Hotfix KB823980
and rebooted itself. Auto updates was not turned on. Has this or similar
happened to anyone else?

For 15 minutes during business hours 20 people sat on their hands.
Impressed.

The Welchia aka Nachi worm will download and install the 823980 (MS03-026) patch. Due to crappy coding in the worm the patch is often improperly applied, leading to other problems.
