Splitting Pictures in a table

I'm currently working with web page template that I'm changing some things
on. One section of the template has a picture that spans over multiple
cells, and Im unsure how this was done. I want to replace the picture with a
picture of my own, but when I try to place the picture, it messes up the
entire table by putting the entire picture in one cell. I've resized my
picture to the same size as the original in photoshop.

Obviously the original designer found a way to do it, either that, or he
went through a LOT of work trying to cut the picture into 4 parts, then piece
it back together with the table (which I tried, and failed miserably. lol)
Any help would be appreciated.

If the image is not split (in each cell as a cell background) in the template
the table may be using a Table background image (not supported By NN4)

If it would sove your problem to simply split the picture into four, you can
do that with an image slicer. There is lots of free image-slicer software
around (just do a Google search), and most good image editors have that
facility.

Does it make sense to merge the cells you want to put the whole image in?
URL??
