Full speed ahead!
I support an application sold commercially by a client and
do so in PC based and a Lan based version for Access
versions 97, 2000 and XP. The PC based version is split
but the Lan version is not.
The data file will not be adversely affected and, if 97,
can be access by all three versions. The only issue I know
that you might run into is if some one with a later
version of Access tries to open an mde file created with
an earlier version of Access. That won't work (Chorus:
Thanks Microsoft). But that issue should not get in your
way linking to the datafile.
