Split, Secured, and Linked Table Manager Errors

In a split and secured Access 2000 db, I've given "Field
Admins" permissions to everything except Admin in both ends,
but when I try to use the LTM under a Field Admins account,
it gets to the point of actually doing the linking, and then
comes up with:

"Could not create: no modify design permission for table or
query 'TMP%#MAU@'." I have no table by that name, or
anything close.

Then, when I try to close the db, I get:

Could not create; no modify design permission for table or
query 'TempMSysAccessObjects'.

Does this mean anything to anyone here?

I never found an answer, but after importing all objects
from the front end of this db to a new mdb, and then using
the new one in place of the old, all seems back to normal.
