Split MPEG file into small parts?

Anyone able to recommend a very simple program that will open an MPG
file (MPEG2) and split it into several parts please? I have an SVCD on
CD-R but there's now way to 'fast forward' it. So as an alternative I
want to split it and view sections.

TMPGenc. You will however have to specify each part individually.

If that's the problem you could reauthor the SVCD with VCDEasy 1.1.5.2 and
use chapter points.
