Hello, I have a Sony Vaio which has come from the factory
with a split hard drive. It has 30gb on C: and 30gb on
D:. How do I merge them or access the second D: hardrive?

Many Thanks

IF you wanted it all as one drive, you would need to re-partition and
format your drive.

Note: All data would be lost if you do this procedure. See:

HOW TO: Partition and Format a Hard Disk in Windows XP

To access the D drive, you should be able to open it up from My Computer.
Some people prefer to have a setup such as yours, with the Operating system
on drive C and their data on drive D.

Or you can by Partition Magic. This utility allows to move/merge/re-size
partitions without deleteing them. As always, BACKUP important files.
