Split Database with front end converted

How about taking a copy of the 2000 FE, converting
backwards to 97, then importing fomr the A97 FE that
needs it?

Development in this multi-version environment is probably
best done using A97, then move the changes up through the
newer versions.

Just have that person use the database utilities to convert the app back to
A97 after changes are made
