Help! The screen with green background/cards no longer appears when launching game. This is after deleting a totally unrelated application (using program delete in Control Panel). Upon launch I only get the difficulty pop up message. XP came installed on PC so I don't have a program disk.
 
Hi Donna,

Since you don't have a Windows XP CD to reinstall the game from,
it will be less painful to use the latest restore point rather than use the
Recovery CD which should be supplied with your system, and which
would effectively wipe out all your data and programs.

Donna, simply go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and then click on
the Add/Remove Windows Components in the left pane. With Accessories and
Utilities highlighted, click Details button. Then highlight Games in the
next screen and again click the Details button. If there is a check mark in
Spider Solitaire, remove it and OK your way out. After going all the way
out, come back in again and put the check mark back, then OK again.
