I've been trying to find a freeware standalone spreadsheet program to
replace Excel and MS Works, and I came across this program, which was
nominated for Pricelessware in 2001, but not seconded. It can still
be downloaded (4mb). Is anyone familiar with it?

Sphygmic Software Spreadsheet
Why waste money and over 180MB of disk space to get feature-bloated
Excel? With the Sphygmic Software spreadsheet you get all the
functions you need in less than 4MB! And all this for free!

Isn't that the one that doesn't print?

An excellent program , I used it a couple years back, almost 100% Excel
4 compatible, I used it to manage my wifes overtime, hours, pay at
regular, at 1.5 at 2 and at treble, removing standard working hours and
manditory, so it was quite excellent, and even today it still stands good.
I whole heartedly second this if its nominated.

It prints.
The print option is under the FILE tab.

It's a toy spreadsheet, with very limited capabilities. It should also
be noted that, since it has not been updated in years, it is very
unlikely to be able to deal with files created in version of Excel
newer than itself. Better by far to get hold of a copy of OpenOffice,
and have a real spreadsheet.

Actually, it's a damn nice toy. I've done my taxes on it for many
years. If you use a modem, and all you need is a spreadsheet, try
SSS before going for OO. OO came installed on my new computer but
I have never had a reason to open it.
