Spelling Dictionaries missing, apart from French in OE

When I try to send a newsgroup post, I have OE to check the spelling
automatically.

Recently I have found that it stops on nearly every word, and suggests
French words. In Options it shows that the French dictionary is selected,
and there are no other options for other languages.

I have Office 2007 installed, and the English (UK) dictionary is being use
on that.

How can I get the English UK dictionary back on OE?

Cheers

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is the
simplest way around this.

TinySpell:
http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type).

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

Ah thanks Bruce. I have upgraded to Office 2007 recently, and did not make
the connection. I actually regret putting Office 2007 on my laptop, as I do
not like the new interface and it takes up too much room on its small
screen. It also looks awful with Classic Theme in XP, which I prefer to use
on it. I am happy with 2007 on my Vista desktop however.

I'll have a look at these third party dictionaries, but to save some time,
do you happen to know if any of them have specific UK versions? This is
something that annoys me with Vista Windows Mail's built in dictionaries, as
it only has US English.

Something strange has happened. Today the automatic spell checking has
stopped working, the button for Spellcheck is ghosted out, and the Spelling
tab is missing in Options. Do you know what is going on?

Did you uninstall anything?

OE does not come with a spelling checker. It uses the spelling checker from
any Office program that has one. Do you have such a program?

If not you could try one of these:

Free spellchecker.
which I use on my laptop, which has Works.

And here's a freeware that checks your spelling as you type:
TinySpell
