Can someone explain how to get my spellcheck to work with outlookexpress 6.. My computer was bought 2 days ago and I cannot get spellcheck to work... I have installed all updates.

You must have MS Office or another program with the dictionary for OE spell
check to work. OE doesn't have it's own dictionary.

I think you will find it will only work if you have a full version of
another MS product such as MS Works or FrontPage etc.

It will not work with XP alone.

Outlook Express, as you're apparently just discovering, has no
spell-checking capabilities of its own. Instead, it relies upon the
presence of certain specific other Microsoft applications, such as the
Office Suite, Word, or the Works _Suite_ (which includes Word, not the
regular Works). There are also some 3rd-party shareware/freeware
solutions available at any of the many shareware sites on the Internet

Spell Magic seems well thought-of, though I haven't tried it myself:
