Does anyone here know if a program exists that can open multiple
text and/or html files and spell check them all ?

I don't mean one by one as in open - spell check - close. I mean
open 20 files at once then start spell checking the first, move onto
the second *automatically* when finished. Then the third etc.

Kind of like treating 20 files as one long file. Does such a program
exist ? If not then how about a program that can have 20 files open
and somehow mark which of the 20 have spelling mistakes ?

Essentially, what I am asking for is the quickest/easiest way to spell
check dozens of files.

Regards, John.

What is the difference ?

A number of reasons. Suppose I have 50 files to spell check and only 2
have spelling errors. Finding/fixing those two quickly would be handy.
Rather than opening/checking one - no errors. Opening/checking two -
no errors. Opening/checking three - no errors etc.

Also, suppose one has all 50 open. Being able to "tab" from spelling
errors in one file to spelling errors in others would be neat. Then
one could "close all" when done.

Lastly, if 50 were being done one by one then there is a possibility
that I could accidentally miss one/more of them on the way through
and/or (unnecessarily) check the same file(s) twice.

Wow ! That sounds interesting. Could you email it to me please ? You
have my correct email address or you can edit my return address here.

Thank you. :-)
