Spell Checker not working with later versions of Word

I have several projects still in Access 97 that use an external spell checker, namely Word, for spell checking and correction. The process works fine with Word 97 but not with Word 2003. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

AFAIK the spell checker is an Office component and will only work with the same
version of Office as your Access app.
