What about dictionaries? Can I use Ispell/Aspell dictionaries? Or
install MS dicts?

In W2K (should be the same or similar for XP or W98) go to

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\proof

Open the CUSTOM.DIC file in Notepad, and edit to your heart's content.

I use the dictionary that comes with Crypt Edit, a freeware text editor.
I've never tried it, but perhaps the dictionary would work without
installing Crypt Edit. Also, you might have to plunk a certain DLL in the
right folder for it to work.

Hi Michael - The following free Spell Check is reported to work well with
OE6:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=2952&cat=10A free program, made to
allow people to use Spell Checker in Outlook Express. This is a stand alone
application, that incorporates in Outlook Express. The purpose of this
program, is to supply for free the ability to use Spelling in OE, without
the need to purchase other software, such as MS Word,Works, or Office.

This one appears to work fine also:

If you search on Google a bit, you'll find other free ones as well.
