spell check on works 7.0

as soon as i try to use the spell check on microsoft works 7.0 i recieve an
error message and word then closes down and i lose my work.
i have tried to find the problem using support but have had no luck please
help...
below are details from the error report.
appname: wkswp.exe
appver: 7.2.620.0
modname: user32.dll
modver:5.1.2600.2622
offset 0000ebfb

i have removed works and re-installed it but the same problem occurs.
i have also re-installed and updated my printer? (read it on a web site
somewhere that it could be the cause)
i was thinking of re-starting my pc to an earlier date but i'm not sure how
long the problem has been dormant.
